El Cheapo Smack Talk, Coyotes, and Bacon

by Capt. Kevin Faver, Capt. Kirk Waltz, and Jeff Lageman

As the guys gear up for the El Cheapo, smack talk reigned supreme between Jeff and Kirk.  The strange weather also dominated the conversation, and federal and state regulation implications reared their ugly heads once again.  We also got some great information about high school bass fishing, bacon presses, and “Kirk-aoke”, whatever that is.

Here’s the KirbyCo Builders, Inc Cooking Tip of the Week!

We are all about quick and easy clean-up…. Here’s the fastest, easiest and less messy way to get a big batch of crispy bacon… Use a big sheet of Jif-Foil tin foil (the THICK stuff) to line a baking pan and cook bacon in the oven on 350 degrees until it’s done to your liking. Enjoy!

Check out Jeff’s old school bacon press!

We’ve got the Outdoors Show Ring Power CAT Tip of the Week, too!

If you’re getting ready for the El Cheapo like Jeff and Capt. Kirk, this tip is for you.  If you wanna land some nice sheepshead, tempt their taste buds with crushed oysters.  Chum with these slimy suckers, and you have people chumming up to you after you win the tournament!

Be sure to follow us on Facebook for great stuff all week…and be sure to send us your own great pics, stories, and questions.  We’d love to hear from you!
