El Cheapo Action, Safety Talk, and Time with "Papa"
It was El Cheapo time, so Jeff and Capt. Kirk were out on the water, ready to duke it out. Capt. Scott Shank was kind enough to step for both of them, and he joined Capt. Kevin LIVE from a chilly Consignment Boat Sales. They had several guests stop by, answered caller questions, and shared quite a few handy safety tips. They also had the thrill of talking to “Papa”, a 105-yr-old gentleman from Oregon who was visiting his grandson; it was truly a can’t-miss conversation, so make sure you check it out.
L.V. Hiers Gear Tip of the Week
We all know accidents can happen any time we’re fishing, whether we’re on the boat, at the beach, or anywhere there are fish to be caught. But we still don’t take the time to get – and stay – prepared in the event of a medical emergency. Because of this, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott recommended that everyone get themselves a COASTAL first aid kit like the one pictured here. These specially-designed kits will be invaluable in case someone gets hurt, God forbid.
KirbyCo Builders, Inc Cooking Tip of the Week
Bacon-wrapped Quail on The Big Green Egg…
Wrap quail in bacon, secure with toothpicks. Marinate bacon-wrapped quail in Italian dressing for 4-6 hours. Grill at 400 degrees on offsetting heat until bacon is done. While cooking, add salt and pepper or seasoning of choice. Enjoy!
Ring Power CAT Tip of the Week
No matter where you go to fish, it’s not only wise to have a comprehensive first aid kit on board…it’s pretty smart to have some critical spare parts. You never know what you could wind up hitting, so pick up an extra prop and keep it with you. May be the most fun way to spend your day on the water, but you’ll be very happy if you can replace a bad prop instead of having to call someone to tow you in.
