Jeff Lageman grew up in Northern Virginia and received a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1989. A first round draft pick of the New York Jets in 1989, the 14th player selected overall, Jeff played for the New York Jets from 1989-1994. Jeff was signed as a free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995 and finished his playing career in Jacksonville following the 1998 season.
Following his playing days, Jeff realized Jacksonville was the best place in the world to settle down and pursue a career in broadcasting in the two areas he’s truly passionate about…football and the outdoors. After working for FOX television and the Jacksonville Jaguars for a couple of years Jeff settled in with the Jaguars in 2003. He is responsible for year-round broadcasting on both Radio and Television for the team. He enjoys being close to home so he can enjoy all Northeast Florida has to offer.
Jeff is the co-owner and co-host of the “The Outdoors Show”, a weekly live call in radio show focusing on hunting and fishing every Saturday morning on 1010XL in Jacksonville, Florida. The show has been a staple of Jacksonville radio since October of 1997 and has become a part of the outdoors lifestyle in Jacksonville.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeff started fishing at the age of 6 and hunting at the age of 10 in Virginia. He currently sits on the Mossy Oak National Pro Staff. Jeff is the owner and manager of Ochwalkee Creek Plantation in Central Georgia.
Jeff is married to his soulmate, Tera. He has a son, Dylan, and a daughter, Taylor.
