OS1084: For Our Brother

This week, we tipped our cap to Brother Love, one of the best friends Jeff ever had, who passed away this past week. Brother Love was many things, and an Outdoors Show fan was one of them. He listened to every show, so in his honor, the guys did exactly what they do each week: they told great stories, had lots of laughs, provided all kinds of tips, and did it all as only they can.

RIP, Brother Love. You are and will be missed.

Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week from Captain Kirk: These are good for tying nets, gaffs etc on your boat…Guns and bows on 4 wheelers.

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: Join us LIVE on location next Saturday at the NorthEast FL boat show at Nocatee!

Brother Love’s Pretzel Dip

Equal parts Mayo and Sour Cream (ex. 1 cup Mayo and 1 cup Sour Cream)
Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
Tablespoon of Black Pepper
1/4 cup-1/2 cup of Parmesan Cheese
One jar of Banana Pepper rings chopped
1/2 cup to Cup of Feta cheese crumbles ( I like to make it more fine so it spreads throughout more evenly)
Enjoy…

Fishing Forecast-September 25-Who Ordered The Chocolate Milk?

Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott have been doing okay this week, catching reds, flounder, and black drum, but it has not been easy. Between the chocolate milk water and the all the catfish, everyone has had a rough go of it. But will things get better? Check out the forecast and find out for yourself…

OS1083: If Golden Corral Aired A Radio Show…

This episode, more than any other in recent memory, had just about everything about the outdoors in it. You want fishing? You got it. Hunting? You bet. Gear? Stories? A little bit of sideways? Yes, yes, and yes. The boys have something for everyone from start to finish in this episode. And you had better not miss out on the sound effects, either.

Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: Keep a spare or two complete hubs in your truck for emergencies. If you have trailer troubles this is the quickest complete way to fix your problem. Available at West Marine.

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: If you’re interested in buying or refinancing property call AgSouth Farm Credit!

Here’s your KirbyCo Builders, Inc. cooking tip of the week: Congrats to Team The Outdoors Show for tying for 1st place at Angies Subs Official Page for the 2019 Kickoff Cookoff benefitting the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation! Gordon and Jay knocked it out of the PARKing lot!

Fishing Forecast-September 18-Gone with the Wind

Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott had quite a few stories to tell about what was happening in the water over the past week, but the real story is in the forecast. There is some major wind on the way, so listen close to figure out when you do not want to be on the water.

OS1082: Huntin, Fishing and Grubbin

Blame it on Chef Gordon. The guys were all ready to talk about fishing with all the interesting weather happening. They were ready to talk shrimp, mullet, tarpon, snook, and flounder. They were ready to talk about getting properties ready and new hunting gear. They were ready…until they got a taste of breakfast, supplied by HOFer Chef Gordon. It was all sideways from there…but it least it was fun to listen to!

Fishing Forecast-September 12-Weather or Not

In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, and in the midst of traditional September northeasters, the guys enjoyed some fantastic fishing, including some of the largest mullet they have ever seen! And the shrimping? Whoa, buddy…

OS1081: Hurricanes and Hoopties

Thankfully, Hurricane Dorian passed by the First Coast without causing too much trouble, but it definitely gave the guys a chance to reflect on what was…and what could have been. But the day went sideways when Jeff mentioned his dad and his “hooptie”. That kicked off a discussion about each of their hoopties, and then EVERYBODY chimed in with their own hooptie stories. And just for the record, there was a bit of fishing and hunting talk, too.

Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: ALWAYS a good idea to have some of this WoundSeal Powder with you in the great outdoors!

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: The fishing the next couple of weeks could be awesome! But there will be debris all in the water. Take your time going from spot to spot because you could come across something that could do some serious damage!

Here’s your KirbyCo Builders, Inc. cooking tip of the week from Jeff: Don’t walk… RUN to Trader Joe’s for this uncured black forest bacon. Seriously – some of THE BEST he’s ever had!

Fishing Forecast-September 5-Silver Lining of the Storm

Hurricane Dorian has passed the First Coast without causing us too much trouble, but Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott had plenty to talk about with the devastation he left behind in the Bahamas. However, there is a silver lining to the dark cloud that was Dorian: the water is peaceful and it looks like the fishing is going to be incredible! Get all the details in this episode…
