With Capt. Kirk out of town celebrating his anniversary (CONGRATS, KIRK!!!!!), Fishing Forecast co-host Capt. Scott “Bobo” Shank joined Capt. Kevin and Jeff to try to put the best spin on an altogether terrible run of rainy, stormy, foggy weather.

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: Inshore fishing has been slow at best. The one fish that has been prevalent is the yellow mouth trout. Look for deep drop offs and clean water. Best bait is a live shrimp, mud minnow or Fishbites.
Here’s your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week:
Madison’s Pan Fried Trout
1lb of fresh trout filets
Cup of Wonder Flour
Cup of corn starch
2tbs garlic powder
1/4 tbs of seasoning salt
1/4 tbs of paprika
Peanut or Coconut Oil
Wash trout filets lightly and allow to drain. Beat the eggs in a bowl till thoroughly mixed. Mix flour and corn starch together adding seasoning salt, paprika, and garlic powder. Dredge trout in eggs shaking excess off and add to flour mixture. Set aside on a plate. Heat oil in skillet on stove on medium heat using about a 1/2 in of oil in pan. Add trout and pan fry till golden on one side careful to turn it when its done. Remove when both sides are golden brown. Remove and place on pastry screen to allow excess oil to drain off. This will keep it extra crispy. Allow some cooling and serve.
